Job Description
As an Investment Operations Associate, you will play an integral role in providing support across the Operations, Compliance, Investment, Marketing, Reporting and Analytics functions. This 'jack-of-all-trades' role will support all departments through detailed analysis and reporting to provide data driven results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track account inflows and outflows.
- Understand details of the firm’s investment strategies.
- Research, track, analyze, and report on both internal company and external market analytics.
- Research information on current/past capital markets and domestic and global economy.
- Update the firm’s marketing materials with updated strategy data each quarter.
- Report firm and strategy data to investment management databases.
- Provide data and analysis to other departments.
- Assist with preparation and completion of reports filed with regulatory agencies.
- Create and manage invoicing processes by accurately compiling and transferring fee data into a streamlined format.
- Maintain documentation according to the firm’s policies and procedures.
- Contribute to weekly and quarterly market and strategy commentaries.
- Complete due diligence questionnaires from our partners.
- Contribute to RFPs for potential clients.
- Maintain performance composites in line with the Global Investment Performance Standards for all of the firm’s investment strategies.
- Collaborate and strategize with leadership to implement and produce effective internal and external partnerships.
- Champion best practices across supported teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience within the financial services industry is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using Orion or a similar portfolio accounting system is preferred.
- Experience using Redtail or a similar CRM system is preferred.
- Experience in creating and maintaining cross-functional partner relationships.
- Resourceful nature; self-motivated and directed in accomplishing tasks.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the financial services industry - experience with SMAs and ETFs is preferred.
