Our client, an award winning wealth management firm in Troy, MI is hiring a Director of Retirement Plans to run and continue to build their plans division.
The right candidate should have experience in the retirement plans space and have a passion for building business units. The role will be both client facing and managerial of people and processes.
The key responsibilities are (but not limited to):
· Collaborate with firm owners to create and execute the plan for our retirement plans division. This includes goal planning, tracking, process building and employee management of our group plans.
· The Director of Retirement Plans will be the firm’s Lead Advisor in the group retirement plan space. The majority of time in the role should be spent meeting with business owners/employers to deliver a world class client experience for them and their employees. The role will be responsible for maintaining and growing revenue from existing relationships.
· The Director of Retirement Plans will also be responsible for prospecting to new clients in the benefits space.
· The Director of Retirement Plans will manage the firm’s processes including:
o Open enrollments
o Fund selection and performance tracking
o Participant education experiences
o Plan Compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 5+ years in financial planning and wealth management
o 3+ years in group benefits and retirement plans space
· Series 65
Ability to travel to client meetings
