Blacklock Group are partnered with a leading, global investment bank seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) M&A team in New York City. This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-profile transactions across the banking, insurance, asset/wealth management, fintech, and specialty finance sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead execution of M&A transactions across various FIG verticals, including preparing marketing materials, managing due diligence, and coordinating with clients, legal counsel, and internal teams
- Develop and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and strategic presentations
- Drive deal execution processes and oversee junior team members
- Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support business development and client coverage
- Interface directly with clients, presenting insights and transaction updates
- Contribute to origination efforts including pitch book development and idea generation
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of experience in investment banking, ideally within FIG or related sectors
- Proven transaction execution experience in M&A
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA a plus, but not mandatory
