True North Advisors is a boutique wealth management firm serving families, business owners, and professionals with thoughtful, comprehensive planning. We combine high-level strategy with meticulous execution, so clients feel clear, organized, and confident in their decisions.
We are growing and looking for an Associate Relationship Manager, the backbone of our advisory relationships. The Associate Relationship Manager is the Lead Advisor’s primary partner and will sit second chair in client meetings, own case preparation and planning analysis, translate recommendations into clear tasks for our operations team, and drive follow-through and communication so nothing falls through the cracks.
The successful candidate must thrive on being the person who makes sure things actually get done – and done well!
Key responsibilities will include:
Meeting Preparation & Support – prep all applicable materials for client meetings, attend meetings with the Lead Advisor and capture all commitments and post meeting action items.
Financial Planning & Case Design - building and updating financial plans (e.g., retirement projections, cash flow, and insurance analysis).
Operations Coordination & Execution - translate planning recommendations into clear, specific instructions for the operations team (e.g., account openings, transfers, and trades), tracking all open items through completion.
Client Communication & Information Gathering - Interact with clients to request and track all client info and other data needed for planning, always maintaining a communication style that reflects well on the firm.
Systems, Process, & Documentation – Maintain accurate and current checklists and timelines of deliverables, always looking to streamline internal processes so we optimize how we prepare, present, and implement planning work.
Required/Preferred Experience:
2–5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related client service role.
Working knowledge of investments, retirement planning, insurance, and basic tax/estate concepts.
Comfortable using client databases and planning tools; experience with RightCapital or similar software is a plus.
