The Role
As an Apella Wealth Advisor, you’ll serve as the primary advisor to clients as an independent relationship manager. You will be charged with leading client relationships and delivering holistic financial advisement across retirement planning, investments, tax planning, estate management, and insurance.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a well-supported, high-trust financial planning role within a national, fee-only RIA. You’ll receive Day 1 ownership and accountability for your client book of business while receiving development training and networking opportunities to build your professional career as an Apella Advisor.

Where you’ll work:
- This role will be located on our Atlanta, GA-based team and be expected to be available for in-person meetings with clients and Apella personnel.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Lead client relationships with empathy, transparency, and fiduciary care
- Create a high-trust relationship and unparalleled white glove experience for every client
- Leverage Apella advisor support teams to achieve client objectives across Investment Management, Estate Planning, Tax Planning, Risk Management and General Planning
- Independently lead client calls both in-person and virtual as required
- Build new client relationships through networking, firm marketing, and referral management
- Work with your dedicated operations team to ensure client retention and satisfaction
- Collaborate with firm leadership and SMEs (i.e. CPAs, estate lawyers, etc) to evolve client offerings
What qualifications we’re looking for:
- At least 3-5 years of financial planning industry experience
- Candidates must have a four-year degree and a CFP® certification
- Prior experience independently managing client relationships and a book of business
- Expertise in estate, tax, retirement, insurance, investment, and CF/capital needs planning analysis
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong listening skills; professional demeanor
- Strong organizational, prioritization and project management skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); ERP and CRM software
- Eager to learn and able to adapt quickly to multiple technology platforms and rapid change
