- Financial Planning Fundamentals
- Ability to understand and apply core planning concepts (retirement, cash flow, insurance, education, estate basics) to support client recommendations.
- Investment Analysis & Portfolio Support
- Ability to analyze portfolios, understand asset allocation, performance reports, and investment strategy (including DFA-style evidence-based investing).
- Tax Planning & Tax-Aware Analysis

- Investment & Custodial Platform Navigation
- Ability to navigate custodial and portfolio systems (e.g., Schwab Advisor Center, Advyzon) or equivalent to support analysis and reporting.
- AI Proficiency for Advisor Leverage
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly and effectively to improve meeting preparation, summarization, analysis, documentation, and process efficiency while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Meeting Preparation Ownership
- Own the end-to-end preparation of all client meeting materials, including agendas, planning updates, investment and tax analyses, ensuring meetings are fully prepared in advance.
- Post-Meeting Follow-Through Execution
- Own all post-meeting documentation, action items, coordination, and follow-up to ensure timely, accurate completion without requiring reminders.
- Advisor Leverage & Support
- Proactively anticipate the Lead Advisor’s needs, remove prep and execution burden, and ensure the Lead Advisor can focus on high-value client conversations and firm growth.
- High-Touch Client Support Between Meetings
- Respond to client needs, requests, and questions between meetings through research, consultation with internal team members, and independent judgment, delivering timely, thoughtful, high-touch service that wows clients while leveraging the Lead Advisor’s time.
- Cross-Team Coordination
- Coordinate effectively with operations, tax, and other team members to ensure seamless execution of client strategies and commitments.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Continuously identify, suggest, and help implement improvements to meeting preparation, follow-through, and advisor-support processes to increase efficiency without sacrificing quality.
