Paraplanner Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paraplanner to support two high-producing Financial Advisor Partners in their own office space. The Paraplanner will help ensure our clients receive the best possible experience. This role is crucial to our practice and offers the opportunity for advancement to Associate Financial Advisor or Financial Advisor for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:
Client Servicing:
Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner and maintain a record of requests and responses.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients, handling inquiries, and ensuring all information is clear and accessible.
- Perform client service tasks such as executing trades, at the direction of the Advisor, preparing advisor meeting binders/reports, monitoring distributions, and following up on processing new account/transfer forms
- Track investment’s required minimum distributions (RMDs) and facilitate distributions on behalf of clients.
- Respond to day-to-day queries from clients in order to relieve Adviser of general queries
Advisor Support:
Onboard new clients, maintain and update client files, including financial statements, ensuring compliance with document management. Processing paperwork as needed, with direction from Advisor
- Assist advisors in preparing for client meetings including notes, forms, illustrations, quotes, relevant reports communications, and follow-up of resulting action items
- Work with product providers to obtain policy information and product information
- Undertake research to allow the Advisor to identify suitable solutions to meet the client’s needs
- Prepare information/comparisons for analysis by the Advisor
Systems and Operations:
- Troubleshoot problems, schedule and organize meetings, serve as liaison between advisor and client as needed
- Input data to produce accurate financial plans and investment reports, at the direction of the Advisor
- Input data and other pertinent information to CRM and planning software
- Prepares and ensures new business paperwork processes successfully
- Provide ongoing technical support to financial planners and peers
Qualifications:
- Licenses and Education:NYS Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License preferred
- Active FINRA Securities Registrations preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficiencies and Experience:High level of organization and focus, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Polished, professional demeanor with a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a commitment to client care.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, planning software, and various forms of technology within the office, including troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, with experience in portfolio management and financial products.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the Financial Services industry, as an Advisor, Life Insurance Agent, Paraplanner or Registered Assistant.
