Financial Planning Associate
Our client, a financial planning firm based in Charleston is hiring a Financial Planning Associate.
The Financial Planning Associate will be responsible for preparing financial plans, creating recommendations and helping with the client experience for advisors and ensembles affiliated with the firm.
The ideal candidate should have experience in financial services, a passion for planning and a desire to help influence a firm’s advisor planning and service operations.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- To create comprehensive financial plans for new clients. This includes both working collaboratively with affiliated advisors in addition to having your own aligned thinking to best construct a customized financial plan for a client.

· Retirement Income Distribution Planning
· Estate Planning Concepts
· Life insurance analysis
· Disability and Long Term Care insurance analysis
· Asset/Liability management and cash flow scenarios
· Tax implications
· Education Funding
· Major Purchase Planning
· Saving Strategies
· Business Planning
· The role will be responsible for updating financial plans for the existing clients. This would include staying in tune to relevant client goals and current economic and market conditions to provide the most prepared analysis and recommendations for the client.
· Ensure the affiliated advisors are briefed on planning and investment updates prior to meetings along with being able to interface with clients themselves to best explain analysis and recommendations in their situation.
· Assist affiliated advisors with their client onboarding experience for both investments and insurance.
· Create and/or update investment proposals and insurance illustrations for clients.
· Ensure all client data is tracked appropriately in CRM.
· Assist the firm in assessing advisor support services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Investment and Insurance licenses preferred
- Working towards the CFP ® designation
- 3+ years in financial planning
Base Salary: $50,000- $65,000
