Genesis Capital(the “Company”) is one of the largest business purpose lenders in the country, focused on providing commercial real estate financing solutions to real estate developers who buy, renovate, and sell single-family and/or multi-family residential real estate. The Operations Lead will be responsible for providing oversight and leadership to the relationship associates. The Operations Lead will serve as an interdepartmental liaison to maintain operational workflows that enhance loan production efficiency, accuracy and speed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee and manage Relationship Associates.
- Define, clarify, and communicate roles and responsibilities for Relationship Associates to drive accountability and consistency.
- Hold team members accountable to individual and collective performance goals and job expectations.
- Process Creation, Ownership, and Optimization. Design, propose, implement, and refine operational workflows.
- Create, document, and maintain policies and procedures that govern the Genesis origination process.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development initiatives for Relationship Associates.
- Continuously assess knowledge gaps and skill development needs, providing coaching, tools, and support to elevate team capabilities.
- KPI-Driven Operational Management. Establish, track, and manage KPIs focused on productivity, efficiency, quality, and pipeline progression.
- Implement performance management strategies that drive individual, and team accountability tied to measurable results.
- Maintain master oversight of the loan pipeline from intake to closing.
- Actively monitor, push, and problem-solve loans throughout the process to ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) and targeted turn-times are consistently met.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify gaps in process or training and recommend solutions.
- Balance strategic thinking with tactical, hands-on operational execution to ensure near-term and long-term success.
- Proactively identify operational bottlenecks, gaps, or risks, and recommend thoughtful, data-driven solutions.
- Drive a performance culture grounded in accountability, results, efficiency, and high standards of service.
- Foster a collaborative, transparent, and motivating team environment that supports both individual achievement and collective success.
Education and Experience

- Minimum 5 years in commercial/construction lending roles, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience managing multiple direct reports.
