Associate Financial Planner
Three Oaks Wealth is seeking a stellar associate financial planner! We are a rapidly growing financial planning firm focused on helping our clients reach the best financial destination for them. We have offices in Sacramento and Portland, OR and are adding to the staff in Sacramento.
Key Responsibilities
The Associate Financial Planner position contributes to the firm’s growth by ensuring exceptional service for both existing clients and prospects. This role demonstrates competency in investment and planning practices to develop financial plans and partner with advisors and team members to address the specific needs and service issues of clients, as well as acting as relationship manager for less complex clients.
Candidates for this position will be expected to grow with the role. There is substantial opportunity for advancement as skills, expertise and responsibility grow over time.
Supporting the Financial Planning & Investment Processes
- Coordinate financial plan development, including initial financial plan data entry, and working with lead planners to develop recommendations
- Create quarterly and/or annual client summaries of net worth, estate distribution, insurance, income tax, cash flow projections, and investments
- Monitor client financial plan and advise on changes that are necessary
- Place trades as directed by supervisor / coordinate with investment management team to ensure execution of investment strategy
- Adhere to all compliance/risk procedures, follow corporate and industry protocols, and protect the interest of the client and the firm at all times
Preparing for and Attending Client Meetings
- Support financial planners with client services, including preparation of well-polished documentation and presentation materials for meetings
- Support preparation for client meetings, including preparing agendas and client meeting materials
- Attend and participate in meetings with prospects, new and existing clients
- Record meeting notes on topics covered, changes in client’s needs, and action items
- Summarize meetings and schedule action items in contact management software
- Complete all action items utilizing firm processes and procedures
Act as Relationship Manager & Deliver Exceptional Client Service
- Act as primary point of contact and planner for less complex clients under the direction of a senior planner
- Work in conjunction with the lead planner to deliver services to clients
- Work with planners and team to ensure all actions for clients are tracked and completed
- Lead initiatives focused on value-add content delivered to clients such as content marketing
- Communicate and follow up regularly with clients about changes to their accounts
- Develop strong relationships and rapport with clients
Compensation
- Full-time exempt status
- Starting at $65,000

Experience, Skills and Core Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years' financial planning, wealth management, or financial services experience required
- Progress toward CFP® designation preferred
- Competency in investment and financial planning with proficient technical capabilities
- Advanced level computer skills; thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office imperative, familiarity with eMoney software preferred
- Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- A passion to help clients achieve their goals, and a desire to strengthen alliance partnerships in order to facilitate this work
- Exhibits a strong desire to develop personal and professional skills, together with knowledge and understanding of investment philosophies and planning practices
- Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and computer skills

We are located at 2377 Gold Meadow Way, Gold River, CA 95670. This position will be primarily in person at the office, with some flexible work from home opportunities available.
