Our client, a Wealth Management firm, is hiring a Lead Advisor in Midtown. The Lead Advisor Level 2 (LA2) is a pivotal role within our advisory team, collaborating with Senior Lead Advisors to refine and enhance comprehensive financial strategies for both new and existing clients. This position demands a high degree of expertise and independence, allowing the Lead Advisor Level 2 to make strategic decisions that align with client goals and the firm's objectives. You will be responsible for cultivating strong client relationships, managing complex financial portfolios, and delivering exceptional service and solutions that exceed client expectations. The Lead Advisor Level 2 also plays a key role in mentoring junior advisors and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth consultations with advisory clients, performing comprehensive fact-finding and regular portfolio reviews to ensure alignment with their financial goals.
- Build and maintain a robust network with Centers of Influence and high-quality vendors (Attorneys, Accountants, Real Estate Brokers, etc.) to generate referrals and enhance client offerings.
- Undertake proactive client relationship management, ensuring regular contact and communication aligned with the firm's segmentation systems.
- Oversee and streamline the new client onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition and high-quality client experience.
- Provide exceptional client service by preparing for meetings, managing planning updates, executing portfolio changes, and implementing strategic recommendations.
- Address and resolve complex advisory-related service issues through effective correspondence and communication with clients.
- Lead comprehensive financial planning efforts, coordinating asset management, estate planning, tax strategies, and risk management tailored to individual client needs.
- Manage client assets effectively, integrating financial planning and wealth management strategies while maximizing investment performance and mitigating risks.
- Gather, organize, and maintain meticulous electronic case files, preparing reports, letters, and correspondence as needed.
- Identify and actively participate in relevant industry organizations that enhance visibility and networking opportunities.
- Utilize LinkedIn and other platforms to identify and proactively outreach to potential clients, expanding the client base.
- Attend and lead client and team meetings, with a focus on raising $10+ million in Assets under Management and $200,000 in premium from new client relationships within the first two years.
- Ensure rigorous standards for new client generation and revenue production are met consistently.
- Adhere strictly to compliance and industry regulations.
Qualifications
• BA or BS degree from a four-year institution; strong interpersonal skills; self-motivated; history of personal success.
• 10-12 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong emphasis on client service, financial planning, and sales.
• Series 7.
• Familiarity with leading and mentoring other advisors and collaborating with executive leadership on company initiatives.
• Expertise in quickly establishing the role as the trusted advisor to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, running a majority of meetings solo.
• Proven success in recommending and "closing" new business, both insurance and investments.
• Have one or more of the following designations
• Primary: CFP, CPWA, RICP
• Secondary: ChFC, CIMA, CFA
