Our client, an award-winning wealth management and planning practice in Westport, is hiring a Service Advisor/ Relationship Manager to continue to deliver first class financial planning and platinum level service to their clients.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of experience as a client facing financial advisor and a passion for the planning process. They will be a process-driven, detailed-oriented, highly structured individual who thrives in a feedback centric environment. The candidate should be an effective communicator and value the support of working closely with a senior advisor. The ideal candidate will have or be nearing completion of their CFP© designation.
The primary responsibility of the service advisor is to provide dynamic planning to existing clients, conduct client reviews and collaborate with team members to execute an unmatched client experience.
Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
• Sit second chair on senior advisor’s client meetings for an initial transition period to build relationships with clients and understand and adopt the firm’s financial planning philosophy, internal systems and planning approach
• Conduct reviews for a client segment to ensure their investment, advanced planning, and insurance strategies are connected to their updated goals.
• Identify any new areas of business development for current clients including, but not limited to: planning opportunities/ needs, new assets, referrals and introductions, parents/next gen, COIs, etc.
• Work with the investment, planning and operations teams to collaborate on analysis, recommendations, planning implementation, and service items.
• Shadow the director of financial planning to learn the financial planning process and the senior advisor to learn advanced planning strategies and techniques.
• Learn independently, keeping up with industry changes, strategies and regulation/ legislation to bring new approaches and ideas to clients and the practice
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-3+ years of client-facing financial planning experience
• CFP preferred (or obtain in first 12 months with the firm) • SIE, Series 7, 66 and LAH insurance license
