Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Director of Relationship Management to lead, develop, and elevate our Relationship Manager (RM) team. This role is critical to delivering a consistent, best-in-class client experience while ensuring Relationship Managers remain focused on both service excellence and organic growth. The Director of Relationship Management serves as a coach, accountability partner, and trusted resource for the RM team and collaborates closely across departments to drive efficiency and results.
What Is a Relationship Manager at the firm?
Relationship Manager is a key member of the client experience team. Relationship Managers are responsible for coordinating, delivering, and enhancing the client experience by supporting advisors, managing client relationships, and ensuring timely, high-quality follow-up. They play a vital role in client satisfaction, retention, and growth by helping uncover opportunities for deeper relationships, including next-generation and referral-based growth.
Primary Responsibilities (not limited to):
• Lead, coach, and support all Relationship Managers to ensure a consistent, best-in-class client experience.
• Oversee RM client experience execution by managing weekly workflows and partnering cross-departmentally to drive efficiency and timely follow-up.
• Ensure Relationship Managers balance exceptional service with growth-focused activities, including meetings held, referrals generated, and new clients onboarded.
• Lead accountability efforts by coaching RMs on weekly activity measures and performance expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement through observation of client meetings, roleplays, and targeted development experiences.
• Financial Planning responsibilities including gathering and analyzing client data—including assets, liabilities, cash flow, and tax status—to assist in building preliminary financial plans and scenario models
• Coordinate, prepare, and facilitate RM meetings, including weekly activity meetings, study group meetings and Quarterly Feedback meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five or more years of experience in wealth management, financial services practice management, or leadership.
• Strong financial planning background.
• Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
