Our wealth management business (Lazard Wealth) collaborates with our clients to help solve and simplify the complexities of wealth, while delivering sophisticated investment solutions and advice. We combine years of history and experience to help preserve and grow our clients’ wealth across generations. The principal areas of focus with clients are strategic advice and planning, investment management and direct private investments. Working in partnership with families, we customize an investment process that meets their specific needs.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to support the team’s relationship management efforts, including operational execution and investment coordination, among other responsibilities. In this role, you would be client-facing, and would be expected to interface with internal and external stakeholders with discretion, care, and pride in your work.
We’ll trust you to:
- Engage in active interaction with clients, accountants, and attorneys in person and over the phone and email.
- Ensure timely response to client inquiries and provide ongoing communication with clients/prospects, including the compilation and distribution of recurring client requests.
- Execute day-to-day client account servicing, including responding to inquiries and initiating asset movement (including stock gifts, wires, ACH, checks, and journals).
- Onboard new clients by coordinating account setup with internal and external investment, legal and operational contacts
- Generate monthly and quarterly client presentations including investment portfolio updates and market reviews; ensure that materials are accurate and deadlines are met
- Attend client meetings, take notes during client meetings, add notes to Salesforce and track/execute post-meeting action items
- Leverage technology and AI to improve processes and create efficiency
- Contribute value-additive ideas and on occasion, assist other teams with ad hoc special projects as needed, including business development needs
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- FINRA Series 7 required and 63/65 (or 66) preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in investment management, finance, or another analytically oriented experience
- A very strong work ethic and drive with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal teams, clients/prospects and external advisors
- Interest in capital markets, wealth management, financial and estate planning, economic and accounting principles and practices, banking, and the analysis and/or reporting of financial data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts
- Proven skill and comfort using technology and AI tools to organize data and drive efficiency
- The ability to handle deadlines and multiple simultaneous ongoing projects and tasks to completion with little or no supervision
- Strong organizational skills
- Confidentiality and understand a need for discretion with clients
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, charts) and PowerPoint (professional formatting, visual storytelling), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management).
- Experience with Salesforce, Addepar and Pershing systems (NetX360) preferred

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $100,000-$115,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
