Investment Operations Associate
Our client is a premier wealth management and financial planning practice based in Fairfield County. The practice is lead by a Wealth Management Advisor and CFP with 30+ years of experience. The primary role of the Investment Operations Associate is to assist clients with the investment account onboarding process and servicing of these accounts. This is not a sales role.
Responsibilities include:
Processing Accounts:
Preparing and processing all paperwork needed for Advisory and Brokerage accounts
Communicate with the client regarding a new account as it relates to: Outstanding items, current status, next steps and estimated time to completion.
Monitoring, processing, and following up on asset transfers and funding of advisory and brokerage accounts
Facilitating money movement for client accounts (IRA, 529, RMD etc.)
Full understanding of compliance protocols
Facilitating 401(k)/IRA rollovers from other retirement plans
Communicate equity trades to Home Office for execution on Brokerage accounts (and capable of trading Advisory accounts when needed)
Client Service:
Respond to ongoing client inquiries and requests, including trade requests, account funding and loan servicing and other service related issues
Maintaining daily account follow-ups
Facilitating Margin loans – initial set up, loan requests and repayments
Running performance reports in firms platform
Maintain efficient and scalable process(es) concerning new and existing accounts, leveraging firm's software, applications, and resources
Communicate with internal team members regarding the above responsibilities where necessary
Insurance Support Services - Assist insurance clients with billing, beneficiary changes and other service requests
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in an investment operations role
Series 7 and related licenses for securities trading
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients
Willingness to learn
Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Fluency with traditional software programs; Experience with NetX360 and Envestnet is a plus
The candidate should desire to be part of a positive culture in a high performing team
Life and health insurance license – within 6 months of hire
Location: 5x a week in Stamford office
Salary: 70-90k
